 GRREEATTT, I gotta talk about myself 👀😬….

My name is Tia Morris (She/Her), and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I graduated from Southern Arkansas University (Mulerider for Life 💙🐎) in 2016 with a Master of Science degree in Mental Health and Clinical Counseling. I provide individual, couples, and family therapy services. I have experience in outpatient, day treatment, crisis, residential treatment, and now private practice. I work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I am trained in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), and TA (Technology Assisted Counseling). Are you asleep 🛌😴 yet? I know I am. I bet your eyes glazed over just a little. 

🛑Word of warning 🛑: The world of therapy LOVES acronyms. So be prepared.

Forewarning 📢: (Yes, I give warnings about myself 😊 ) As a fellow ADHDer, I am direct, blunt, sarcastic, love to laugh 🤣, and CANNOT sugar coat anything to save my life. Sure, I could use B-I-G therapy words that neither of us knows how to pronounce let alone spell, but I believe in helping clients understand these B-I-G words by applying these B-I-G words/concepts to real world situations.  I don’t know everything and don’t pretend to. I’m not always right about anything and I’m okay with that. If I’m wrong, tell me I’m wrong. I challenge my clients, but I also, give them a heads-up warning before I do so. I realize I’m not going to be everyone’s cup of tea ☕ and that’s okay. If I’m not, let’s find you someone who is. I know a lot of amazing providers. 

About Me: My hair is always a mess 🤷, I'm always wearing comfy clothes (no heels here),  I'm not a fan of shoes and prefer to be barefoot as much as possible, and I don't wear makeup, BUT I have showered 🛀, am wearing deodorant, and will be genuinely me. Oh, and if I'm bored, I can find 15 gazillion things to do 🌪️ (Just ask my husband 🤣😂) When I’m not working, you can find me out chasing waterfalls 🏞️, (Did you know there are over 200 waterfalls in Arkansas?! Crazy, huh)  camping, hiking, trying to keep plants alive, getting furbabies lovins', swimming 🏊, canoeing 🚣, binge watching horror movies 👻, chasing my young adult-ish son to and from collegiate sporting events, or calling the Razorbacks ❤️🐗🐽 (Woo Pig Sooie). Welp, that's me in a nutshell. Look forward to meeting you.
